IV.64 MAGNETIC RESONANCE NEUROGRAPHY (REQUIRES PREAUTHORIZATION)
Description
Magnetic resonance neurography (MR) is a new imaging modality that has been introduced for the diagnosis of peripheral nerve disorder. A modification of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), MR neurography is capable of generating high-resolution longitudinal and cross-sectional images of major peripheral nerves. Direct nerve imaging with MR neurography has the potential to demonstrate nerve continuity, distinguish intraneural from perineural masses, and localize nerve compressions prior to surgical exploration.
